My name is Marjorie Brenneman and I am 87 years old. When I first went to Rochester Sports and Physical Therapy I walked with a cane had pain in my back and legs. Through the skills and knowledge of my physical therapist, I not only can walk without a cane and have no pain, but I recently received my black belt in Tai Chi! The quality of life I wanted has become a reality thanks to my therapist and everyone at Rochester Sports and Physical Therapy. I wondered, is physical therapy for me?
Would it be the answer to my recurring pain? My doctor thought so and recommended it to me.
I was uncertain as I had never gone through anything like this before. But, what did I have to lose? After all, physical therapy is not surgery, and no recovery time is required. I had to do something; my pain had put several limitations on my life. I could not walk without difficulty. There was always uncertainty as to how I would feel after sitting for a while, then standing, and taking that first step or two. Going up and down stairs was especially a challenge. So, I went for physical therapy.
From my first appointment and all subsequent sessions, my physical therapist was professional and very understanding. In fact, the whole staff was thoughtful and supportive. I received such personalized attention, that I felt as though I was the only individual there (even though I wasn’t). There were young and old being assisted.
How am I feeling now? Just short of my last visit, I am sitting, standing, and walking without any hesitation. I am going up and down stairs without
difficulty. What a delightful experience!
I realize that not everyone has the same discomfort or condition as I did, but we all do have one thing in common – wanting to experience feeling better and seeing progress.
I am happy I took my first step into physical therapy and even happier as I am pain free and able to walk out.

To Rochester Sports & Physical Therapy:
I wanted to thank the staff at your Long Pond Office for the caring and devotion you had for me while I was there for P.T. I was certainly not too encouraged when I first came in, but with the help and dedication of your staff and most importantly Heather, I came away ready to continue my daily activities including playing golf for the first time in many months. You all have my thanks for the efforts shown by the staff. I would not hesitate returning for your services if needed. We all hope this will not be necessary.
I will say that the responsibility of complete recovery is not just done by the staff, but by how much you yourself are willing to do at home.
One again, many thanks to you all...........
